My influence is:
I was really stunning when I heard borrowed tape of Metallicaīs Black Album in the primary school. But I started to play guitar later in a high school. I listened a lot of soft guitar music in the beginning of playing that helped me how to start playing easy chords. I started with Slovenian guitarist Adi Smolar on a acoustic guitar. But later I listened to harder and harder music like Nirvana, GunsīnīRoses, AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Pantera, some thrash, death/black metal etc. I practiced a lot and my technique and my style progressed. I was self-thought guitar player. After few years of playing I decided to find a good teacher that can teach me theoretical part of the music. My teacher was Slovenian virtuoso Bođtjan Leben who always thought me to be creative and work on my own style of playing...
When I met with the music for first time:
When I was just a kid I really liked watching cartoons. I was always paying attention on the melodies and sound tracks of the cartoons and I sang along a lot. I also sang in the choir in the primary school for about seven years. Like I said before I became interested on playing guitar in high school and that changed my life entirely.
My music history:
I played in a several bands and projects before LastDayHere. My first band was "Heavy Nexus" and we played punk rock. Next, a rock band called "Black Bird" which was formed from previous band. I grew and changed, so did my music taste so I started to look for more progressive rock/metal musicians, but that gave me a bit of a headache, because no one was interested. Time passed and I started to develop a taste for death and black metal. Met some co-thinkers and started to play some music in that genre. We were not serious enough that is when I decided to work on my own projects. I became interested into recording and producing music and started recording in my little home studio, developing my first solo project called "7th Dimension". Besides that I studied bass guitar also. When a friend of mine presented me with hardcore and metalcore music, he infecetd me and I instantly knew that is it. It changed my life, so I started to look for a band which plays that modern genre. I found two cool guys and joined them after hearing their hardcore style of playing. The band called itself "Shades of Grey". "LastDayHere" was born at the same moment that I entirely changed the guitar riffs. It sounded like the song "Take away" from "LastDayHere" album "From Pieces Created" J
What can I say about LastDayHere and its band mates:
I love playing with LastDayHere. I am really excited about the things we have done already and things that are coming in the future. I also love my LDH mates like my brothers! I think we are a great family. We share all the funniest and sad things... Everything.
Funny story from the road:
Itīs hard to say, because so many funny things happens every time we are on the road together :D For sure I will never forget a show that could be hilarious at the end: we were playing a song (donīt remember which one) and before the breakdown in that song Marko jumped on the drummer's stage and broke it. At that point Jure jumped also and didn't see that the stage was broken, so he fell on the drum-kit and almost demolished it :D Fortunately we was able to end that song very well anyways. But you can imagine his surprised face.
The event that I remember the most:
The best show in my opinion was in Ljubljana, on YounGunz Tour 5 when LastDayHere was supporting a cool German band Emil Bulls. The sound was awesome and we were all in good condition for a really great performance. The show was a complete success and I really enjoyed it.
The toys that make LastDayHere come to life:
I love to use my Ibanez 7 string guitar. I canīt imagine playing without my Randall amp, TC Electronic FX processor and other pedals on my pedal-board.
The things I like to do besides LDH:
I am a huge music fan - listening to great music all stayles and always give a chance to the new stuff. I spend a lot of time using the Internet, ganging out at Netlog and MySpace. Besides that I have a great passion for good movies (comedy, action, horror, Sci-Fi and all cool stuff) and I am a huge fan of TV series Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Prison Break, Lost, 24, X-Files. Everything unusual impresses me. The thing burning me up is a great night with my friends at a crazy concert.
Things that I care about:
I care about our band a lot. It is a priority in my life! A wish that I have is to do much more good and cool things with LastDayHere.
The meaning of my life:
Always trying to do good and positive things and spread the love especially to people close to me. I care about the environment a lot. I am trying to harm the nature as less as possible and trying to influence on people about that issue. It is very important to me that I can spend my life in my own way J
